Manda Ruth Smith Bursary

This bursary was established by Alison and Colin Smith, grandparents of Manda Ruth Smith. Manda was born and raised in West Vancouver, then chose to attend the ßÉßɱ¬ÁÏ, where she was very happy. She was in her fourth year and hoping to go on to law school, when she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in 2003 just before her final exams.

Thanks to the good offices of David C. Clode, Executive Director of Student and Ancillary Services at UVic, and because she was a very bright student, the University granted her the BA degree that year.
