Easton Scholarship
A former public servant and wheelchair track athlete, Robert Easton competed for Canada from the mid-1970s until his retirement from competition following the 1988 Seoul Paralympics. Recognition for Robert's contribution and athletic achievements includes inductions to the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame (2013) and the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame (2000).
His family also established the Easton Family Scholarship in 1992 at the University of Alberta.
Robert feels the determination, discipline and grit gained from youth involvement in sport and how interests in reading, science and the arts impacts one's goals, education options and future career opportunities. The ßÉßɱ¬ÁÏ Easton Scholarship reflects his interests, his Vancouver Island family connections, and is part of a quiet effort to "give back" to communities.
