Area of expertise
Heat, air, and moisture (HAM) modelling, hygrothermal simulations, building envelope moisture management, wood-frame construction, climate resiliency
Ben is a graduate student in the Department of Civil Engineering at the ßÉßɱ¬ÁÏ (UVic), specializing in heat, air, and moisture (HAM) transport within building envelopes. He completed his BEng in civil engineering at the ßÉßɱ¬ÁÏ in 2023.
Working under the supervision of Dr. Phalguni Mukhopadhyaya, Ben is focusing on hygrothermal modelling in wood-frame wall assemblies, assessing the impacts of rainwater leakage and projected future climate change scenarios on the resiliency and durability of wood-based materials in the building envelope.
