The Fall 2024 Above and Beyond Awards highlight the incredible efforts of faculty, staff, and students in the Faculty of Social Sciences who have gone above and beyond to support the campus and wider community. Congratulations to our School of Environmental Studies recipients!
- Octavio Cruz, for his collaborative and meaningful work with the Pauquachin First Nation as part of his doctoral research.

- Ryan Hilperts, for her innovative approach in advancing experiential and community-engaged learning, inspiring both students and colleagues.
- David Krug, for his leadership in lab safety and organization, and his dedication to supporting research and community knowledge-sharing through education and field work.
- Laurel Sleigh, for her thoughtful research that directly supports the Kitasoo Xai'xais First Nation’s fisheries and monitoring programs.
