Hello, my name is Emily. I am a Registered Nurse, graduating from UVic in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in the Science of Nursing. I worked in emergency departments on the mainland for a few years before moving to the Gulf Islands, where I spent the last five years working in rural nursing. Following this, I completed certifications in contraceptive and STI management and worked in a few different sexual health clinics before ending up at UVic. I’m incredibly passionate about empowering individuals with information and providing accessible, safe and inclusive care.
I use the pronouns she and her and come from a background of mixed European ancestry. Outside of work, I love making ceramics, biking and walking my dog.
