Academic unit advisers

Academic unit advisers are faculty members who advise students in the schools and departments within the Faculties of Humanities, Science, and Social Sciences. Their responsibilities include:

  • providing advice on course content and sequencing
  • introducing students to the culture and expectations of the academic unit
  • advise students on their fields of study, as well as on the resources and opportunities in their unit
  • considering requests for course substitutions and waivers when there are compelling reasons to do so
