Art Education (MEd)
This is a studio intensive, two-year program. You’ll spend two summers engaged in personal studio development while working in group studios.
Individual critical and creative explorations carry into the fall and spring semesters, off-campus.
Applicants must have considerable strength in art education and present a portfolio of personal art work.

Outcomes
Students in this program will:
- develop an active studio practice to enhance artist-teacher identities
- connect studio practice with pedagogical theory
- contextualize artist/teaching practice within contemporary and historical art education literature
- develop a project that situates students’ art/research/teaching practice within art education research
- make connections between artistic/pedagogical practice and the practices of other artist-teachers (within the cohort and wider art education community)
