Bio

A specialist in Early Modern French studies, Claire Carlin’s major publications focused first on the history of theatre, including two monographs on the theatre of Pierre Corneille. Since 2000, she has published mostly on representations of Early Modern marriage: see the ongoing digital anthology , funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Her interest in digital humanities led to her role as Principal Investigator for (Concluding, Archiving, and Preserving Digital Projects for Long-Term Usability; 2016-2024), also funded by SSHRC.
