Update your preferred name

Your name and other personal information on the mobile ONECard come from the university’s central database and must be updated there. Visit the Manage Your Profile page for instructions on updating your personal information. Changes may take up to 24 hours to appear on your mobile ONECard.

UVic strives to create an inclusive environment. If you are changing your preferred name due to gender identification, marital status, or if you are Indigenous who self-identify during the admissions or hiring process, we will replace your current physical card (one time) at no charge. Any additional replacements will be subject to a $25 replacement charge.

Limitations:

  • No symbols, numbers, unusual capitalization, repeating characters, or punctuation (our system cannot print special characters or symbols).
  • No characters from other languages.
  • No titles (e.g., professional or religious).
  • No offensive or suggestive words.
